The library of the Greek National Theatre contains:

• Greek and foreign language books and encyclopaedias of general interest.  
• Old books and rare editions.  
• Sets of Greek and foreign journals on literature and the theatre.  
• The programme for every Greek National Theatre production since 1932.  
• Programmes for various other Greek National Theatre events and collaborations.  
• Unpublished Greek plays and translations of plays.  
• Special catalogues and texts on the history, people and productions of the Greek National Theatre.  
• Copies of plays performed at the Greek National Theatre 
• Scores of the music from some of the works performed at the Greek National Theatre.  
• Reviews and press cuttings concerning all Greek National Theatre productions in Greece and abroad.  
• Files of actors’ headshots and biographies.  
• Video recordings of Greek National Theatre productions (from 1995 to the present).  
• Special photography archive. 

 

Other Archives

The Greek National Theatre has archives of old recordings, music, set designs, models, props, costumes and an extensive photography archive. 
 

The Library of the Greek National Theatre is housed on the ground floor of the Rex Theatre (Feidiou 5, 106 78 Athens).
