Ioannis Bastas was born and raised in Patras. He graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece (2022) and is currently completing his studies at the School of Architectural Engineering at the Technical University of Crete.
As an actor, he has performed in the following productions: Antigone directed by Ulrich Rasche (Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus), Oxygen directed by Giorgos Koutlis (Onassis Stegi), Erotokritos directed by Argyro Chioti (National Theatre of Northern Greece), Treasure Island directed by Thomas Moschopoulos (Porta Theatre), Heatwave directed by Giannis Panagopoulos (Onassis Stegi), and Wanna Bet? A play about gambling in Greece directed by Giorgos Pavlou (Plyfa Theatre).
In cinema, he has appeared in Alexandros Voulgaris’ film They Come Out of Margo.
His other activities include dance, saxophone, and piano.
