Alexandros Zotaj
Alexandros Zotaj was born in 1991 in Ioannina, Greece. At the age of 15, he began as self-taught playing drums and guitar, participating in school bands.
He holds a degree from the Department of History and Archaeology at the University of Ioannina's Faculty of Philosophy. He worked in the field for two years, offering private tutoring.
In 2015, he began formal drum studies with Ilias Psalidas in Arta, and later with Kostas Dimitriou at ISM in Ioannina.
In 2019, after moving to Athens, he enrolled at Lab Music Education, where he studied drums with Michalis Kapilidis. He continued in Lab’s professional program in the Jazz Department, training under renowned musicians such as Alexandros-Drakos Ktistakis, Dimitris Klonis, Jan Van, Grigoris Danis, and Giorgos Georgiadis.
Since September 2024, he has been teaching drums at Lab Music Education conservatories.
He has performed in concerts, festivals, and recording sessions, working actively as a session drummer.
His collaborations include Grigoris Valtinos and Violetta Ikari, and he has appeared as an opening act for artists such as SODOM, GUS G., Septic Flesh, and The Dubrovniks.
